Introducing Christina McMc

Who is this Christina McMc person then?

Christina McDermott (the McMc comes from the fact that she’s married to a man called McGarrigle)  is a very hungry half Mancunian – half American woman who somehow found herself living in Liverpool with a belligerent Communist Scotsman. She loves to travel, she loves to cook new and exciting things in her incredibly tiny kitchen which is situated in a less than salubrious area of Merseyside, and above everything else, she likes to eat.

Little Red Courgette was created with the aim of celebrating food – from recipes devised via the means of drunkenly scribbling on the back of an old envelope, to documenting some of the amazing places a person can stuff themselves silly in the North West of England (and beyond).

So she’s a food blogger you say? Hmmm. Haven’t I seen her somewhere before?

Well yes, you may have. Christina is also a freelance food writer, and regularly writes pieces for a wide range of different titles, including the Guardian, the Independent, the Manchester Evening News, Qype and the Metro amongst many others. She’s currently in the process of writing her first book .

Fancy writing for me then?

Christina is always open to suggestion when it comes to work! If you’re interested in her doing some freelance writing or blogging for you then please get in touch at misscayliveshere AT gmail DOT com.

OK. So we’ve discovered that this person likes her food. Is there anything that she won’t eat?

Bananas. They are truly the devil’s fruit.
